The Life360 app provides several mechanisms for our members to out-out of sharing personally identifiable information (including location and movement data) with our partners for targeted advertising, research, attribution, and similar purposes.
Personalized Ads options for Members using the Life360 App:
iOS device users may opt-out of Life360 sharing data for Personalized Ads by selecting “Ask App Not to Track” upon installation of the Life360 app on your device or by following the below instructions. The below instructions apply to both iOS device users and Android users.
Members may opt-out of such sharing for Personalized Ads (or opt in, depending on your jurisdiction) at any time by following these steps in the Life360 app:
- Log into your account on the Life360 mobile app on your device
- Open the app and click on the "Settings" icon
- Tap on the Privacy option
- Tap on “Your Privacy Choices
”
- Then toggle Personalized Ads options to your preferred settings.
“Your Privacy Choices ” is limited to the data for the account logged in at the time of the request (i.e., it’s not relevant to other circle members).
Members using Tile (& Jio) Devices:
Importantly, and for the avoidance of doubt, locations associated with your Physical Products (Tiles, PetGPS, or other hardware products that have the Tile finding technology embedded in them) whether they appear in the Tile, Jiobit, or Life360 apps will not be sold to or monetized by third parties.
Limit Information Sharing with other Third-party partners:
Life360 provides options for users to opt-out of their data being shared with certain third-party partners for purposes such as drive detection and for traffic and retail insights. Those options are available within the Privacy section of the Life360 app. If you opt-out, Life360 will continue to collect your device location and movement data and to share such information with your Circles and with third parties as needed to support and provide the Life360 Services or other services you engage with through our app, but we will no longer share your personal information with those third party partners for their own commercial purposes.
